There are no basic qualifications for taking this course. However, it is desirable that you have the ability to communicate in simple English, Pre-University level of analytical comprehension, general awareness of current affairs and some familiarity with the Internet.
The Basic Certificate Course in Futuristics has a flexible structure (for example, you could complete the course in three months or six months). Simova recommends that to get the best out of the course, you plan a schedule for completing the course in about three months.

Printed Course material
This course is divided into several modules of printed study material. Each of these modules will be sent to you at periodic intervals to allow sufficient time for understanding the concepts presented.

There is no stipulated starting date. Thanks to the special nature of Simova's learning model, you can start whenever you want to.
The assessment process at Simova is as follows:
1. You have to post at least 3 times your views on any or all of our discussion boards. Similarly, you have to post your responses at least to three other views expressed by other Simova learners on the discussion boards. (25% weightage)
2. You have to submit a concise report of your Collaborative Learning efforts with at least one other Simova learner. (15% weightage).
3. A mid-course printed assignment will be sent to you, which you have to complete, and send back to us. (20% weightage).
4. A final assignment will be sent to you, which you have to complete and send back to us. (40% weightage).
You will be assessed in terms of grades (A, B, C..... ), depending on the quality of your work in all the above four items.
We follow the "open-book" method for all your assignments. That is, you are free to refer to the study material and other books when answering questions.
You can also measure your progress through Self-Assessment, wherein you periodically evaluate your own learning and arrive at an objective assessment of how much you have progressed. Peer Review means that you involve your Collaborative Learning group in assessing your learning. You will be assessing your group members' learning by reviewing their assignments.
